700 up

This is our 700th post since we started the blog back in January 2009.  Time has flown by and we have still managed at least one post a day for every day since we started.

It seemed very appropriate on this milestone that I should have spent wonderful 24 hours in Dave's company here in Stratford.  Catching up on life, photography, families, wildlife, Guinness, music and having  a good old laugh.

We made Dave feel at home by popping into the Butterfly farm where it was very hot and very humid, in case he was missing North Carolina at this time of year.  It was great to see the Nikon D3S and 200-400 lens first hand.  They are certainly stunning bits of kit, and still only can Canon looking longingly at that high ISO performance.

I put the moth trap out last night but the take was tiny, but at least we got an Elephant Hawk and a new species, which I have yet to identify.

Back with some images tomorrow
